Shreveport Farmers’ Market will return to Festival Plaza on Saturday for the last time this year. Music by DJ Ready Roc, 8:30 – 10:30 am and a cooking demonstration by Shelly Marie Redmond, 11:00 – 11:30 am. Celebrate the last market in style, it’s also Mimosa at the Market Day!
Robinson Film Center has showings of Sugarcane and Didi this weekend. Friday Night Freakout will be screening “The Room” on August 23. The cult classic from Tommy Wiseau is coming to RFC for its 20th anniversary with special guest Greg Sestero. Meet and greet at 8:00 pm, movie begins at 9:00 pm. Saturday, August 24th, Caddo Common Park is hosting a free Water Day in the Park. Grab your swimsuits and join in the fun from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Water slides, tie dye, face painting and more!
Find a new furry friend at Sci-Port Discovery Center as they host the annual KTAL Clear the Shelters event on Saturday, August 24th from 10:00 – 2:00 pm. Join Pet Savers and other local shelters to enjoy a day of fun and meet some of the best shelter dogs and cats available for adoption. Sci-Port will be closed Monday, Sept 2nd through September 17th while they make exciting upgrades.
