Spring is in full swing in Downtown Shreveport and there are so many fabulous events to choose from!
The ever popular Taco Wars returns to the parking lot of the Municipal Auditorium on Saturday with taquerias, sweet treats, cold beer, margaritas and live music! 90% of all taco and treat sales go directly to the taco vendors with the remaining helping to fund the festival itself.
When: Saturday, April 26, 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
Where: Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, 705 Elvis Presley Ave.
Cost: Entry is free. Tacos, treats, and drinks are priced by the vendors and purchased with Taco Tickets, available at festival kiosks.
The Logan Mansion is hosting a Night of Spirits & Secret Dinner and Tour on Saturday night. The evening will transport guests back in time with a candlelit dinner surrounded by the echoes of the past. After dinner, guests will also enjoy a guided twilight tour of the Historic Haunted Oakland Cemetery hosted by Robert Trudeau.

Robinson Film Center has showings of “No Other Land” and “The Shrouds” this weekend. On Wednesday, Explore the wines of New Zealand. The next event in the monthly New World Wine Regions series will take you to New Zealand for an educational tasting with a vibrant selection of wines from the region. Enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres from Abby Singer’s Bistro while you learn about New Zealand’s unique wine offerings.

Kick off Cinco De Mayo a bit early with a Tequila Tasting at The Bell event center. Experience the rich, complex flavors of three premium tequilas, each expertly paired with a delicious chocolate to elevate your tasting experience. To add to the fiesta, a Taqueria Mexico will be on-site serving up authentic tacos.
When: May 1. Tasting at 6:00 pm. The taco truck will be on hand at 5:00 pm.

Get your Derby hats and outfits ready for Derby Day at The Noble Savage. There will be a Derby hat contest, men’s suit showdown, frozen mint juleps + Derby Day old fashioneds, live music, caviar appetizers, mimosas, & great food, horse races on the big screens. Dress up and get a $5 token to spend that night!
