The Art of Haiti: Dr Jean Brierre’s Lifetime Collection Exhibit Opening
Experience over 60 years of Haitian art collected by Dr. Jean C. Pierre—an immigrant, physician, and cultural bridge-builder. Join us for an evening of art, culture, and connection. Celebrate the opening with music, local community, and the powerful vision of a man who brought Haiti to Shreveport through art. The show runs through August 9.

Shop Local at the Shreveport Farmers’ Market – June 28, 8 AM to 12 PM
Festival Plaza comes alive each Saturday morning with the Shreveport Farmers’ Market. With more than 75 vendors offering farm-fresh produce, local meats, canned goods, and handmade items, it’s one of the region’s largest and most authentic markets. Grab a fresh breakfast or lunch while browsing local honey, herbs, soaps, jewelry, candles, and other handcrafted goods. Live music by Buddy Flett, 8:30 – 10:30 am. Cooking demo by Slow Food North Louisiana chair Angie White at 11:00 am.

Everybody Glows All Ages Electronic Music Dance Party
Visit the Remington Garage Saturday evening and experience the pulsing sounds of Techno, House, Trance, Breaks, Drum & Bass, and Dubstep from a lineup of talented DJs. Wear neon colors that will glow under black lights. There will be face painting, glow gear, mocktails that glow, adult beverages, a food truck and more.
Where: Remington Music Garage, 211 Market St.
When: June 28, 6:00 pm – June 29, 2:00 am.
Cost: $15 at the door.

Robinson Film Center
This week at Robinson Film Center catch showings of “F1 – The Movie” and “The Life of Chuck”. The Robby’s, the annual Gala to benefit RFC, takes center stage Saturday, June 28 from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. The theme this year is The Magic of Musicals. The night will be packed with showstopping flair, themed decorations, music, scrumptious food, beverages, karaoke, awards, and more. This year’s Robbys Gala will be a night to remember, but its positive local and regional impacts will be felt throughout the year.

Enjoy an unforgettable evening of live poetry and creativity under the summer sky at the Shreveport Green Urban Farm, plus seeds, plants, and the local performing artists’ tables! Bring yourself, your friends, and your love for the arts, healing food, pretty plants.
